Donuts for recess

This morning, I had recess with Calista, Zoey, Wanting and Hui En. Calista brought donuts for the group.Thank you Calista. It was so thoughtful of you.

Calista ate 2 donuts while the rest of the girls were too full to eat. I was sharing with the girls the Sunday times article about the importance of taking breakfast. All the girls take their breakfast every day except Hui En.

Hui En, you need to take your breakfast either before you come to school or during recess. It is not healthy to skip breakfast.

Lesson at the Science Centre - 16 January 2008

On 16 January, the class left for Science Centre at 8.30a.m. for their Toys N Us lesson. The class was divided into 2 groups. One group went for a workshop named "Blast Off" where they learned how to make a rocket using a plastic bottle, tubes and paper. They even had a chance to go outdoor to launch their rockets. Another group was at a workshop named "Mousetrap". Pupils got to learn how to make a mousetrap. It was my first time seeing my pupils using hammer, piler and small drill. It was not easy to make a mousetrap but the pupils gave their best and they did a wonderful job. 3 cheers for 4/7 Responsibility! The pupils were told to write a reflection of what they have learned. I would like to thank one of my student's parent(Sherlyn's mother) for helping to look after the pupils.

Recess with the boys

I made an appointment with 5 students of mine to have recess with them. Though the time was short, the short interaction has helped me to know the boys better.
